Promotion and moving to new roles is guided by a company capability framework, which compares your current skills and capabilities against what would be required for a new role. Your development in your current role is targeted towards this, meaning you have an opportunity to gain experience to help you shift to a new role. Generally there is an attempt to promote from within rather than hire externally due to the complex nature of the work.

Unsure about promotions at this time, as I am a graduate. However, career progression possibilities seem really good as there are lots of training courses and opportunities to learn within the company.

Following the end of the program, I have a set goal of becoming a project manager whether this will start with advancing as an APM first but general growth within the company is good. Moving up within the ranks involves showing initiative and meeting KPI's and just generally showing you understand the role.

There are lots of opportunities for Engineers to progress throughout the company which are detailed in a flowchart/diagram. For Project Managers, there are also pathways to progress however, I believe that there are not as many opportunities as Engineers. In saying that with new contracts to soon be implemented there will be lots of opportunities arising.
