Established in 1985, ASC constructed Australia’s six Collins Class submarines – the first submarines to be built in Australia. Our role is now to sustain and upgrade the fleet, and we are proud to consistently deliver world-class functionality and beyond international benchmark availability to the Royal Australian Navy.
We are also playing a key role building the first and second Arafura Class offshore patrol vessels.
ASC is a trusted partner of the Australian Defence Force and has a deep understanding of its expectations and priorities. Our supply chain comprises more than 90% Australian companies, who we work with closely to deliver high quality results - sharing an unwavering commitment to productivity and efficiency improvements.
We are also responsible for assisting the Royal Australian Navy in training its submariners, a service we have delivered since 1992.
Our workforce, which comprises more than 1,300 employees, including some of Australia’s most experienced submarine engineers, architects and production staff, are our most valued asset.
Our people work from three facilities located in Osborne, South Australia and Henderson, Western Australia.
