Entry Requirements

To be considered for the Study Abroad Program you need to: - have completed at least one year of study towards a degree at a recognised institution in your home country and are continuing towards the degree at your home institution;

  • have achieved a cumulative grade (across all results in your degree) of either 'Credit' or 'Good' average, or a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale, or an average grade of 'C' or better on the European ECTS grading scale (or equivalent); OR
  • have completed an accepted secondary school qualification with the required grades (some restrictions apply for certain units of study, in general, students applying with only a secondary qualification can only select 1000 level subjects without any pre-requisites).

To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:

  • an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree with a 65 percent average, or equivalent qualification or
  • an Australian bachelor's degree in a non-Engineering discipline with a 65 percent average, with studies equivalent to 48 credit points (equivalent to 1 year full time study load) in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geology, computing or statistics, as related to the stream sought for admission.
