The Opportunity

  • The Graduate Program is targeted at accelerating your development preparing you to take part in some of the largest developments in the National Electricity Market’s history.
  • As a Transgrid Graduate, you will be on a two-year program undertaking rotations across the Health, Safety and Environment Division, with access to internal and external development opportunities to enhance professional knowledge and skills. Rotations will vary, depending on your background and career aspirations, and will help you create an invaluable network that helps you learn, grow, and develop.
  • We are looking for agile individuals who enjoy problem-solving, are goal-oriented and are committed to business excellence. We are seeking candidates who are in their final year of university studies or who have recently graduated that can start working from February 2022.

As a Transgrid graduate you will:

  • Work on the implementation of infield Safety Leadership programs across large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of a Mental Health and Wellness strategy
  • Develop Business Partnering Skills
  • Gain in-field safety and environmental experience
  • Design and implement various workplace health and safety management plans
  • Support the drive for improving Health, Safety and Environment performance and reporting outcomes.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of sustainability focussed initiatives for the business.
  • Gain on-the-job experience in managing safety across multiple projects and with a variety of delivery partners.
  • Challenge yourself and ensure you contribute to the business

To be considered for the graduate program you will be:

  • Tertiary qualified in Occupational Health, Safety or Environment
  • Maintain minimum credit average
  • Motivated and willing to learn
  • Able to think laterally and to provide input to innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Able to work well with others
  • A clear communicator
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Environmentally and socially responsible
  • Appreciative and sensitive of difference and diversity
  • Able to rotate to a regional location for a 6 month period 
  • An Australian permanent resident or an Australian or New Zealand citizen
  • A team player and willingness to learn
  • A recent University Graduate within the last 3 years (2019, 2020 or 2021)

Note: These positions are 2 year fixed term roles with the potential to apply or be considered for Full-Time employment after 3rd rotation
