The waste industry is evolving at a cracking pace and REMONDIS Australia is in the midst of its own organisational evolution. REMONDIS is building the systems, processes and infrastructure needed to remain at the forefront of the circular economy journey, and is looking for recent graduates with the curiosity, drive and resilience required to supercharge its ambitions.

Introducing REMONDIS

REMONDIS Australia is the local operation of one of the world’s biggest recycling, service and water companies.

With over 1,100 employees and 38 business locations in Australia, REMONDIS serves more than 24,000 commercial, industrial and municipal customers and their communities. REMONDIS is a respected global brand that has been in Australia since 1982 – that’s 40 years and counting.

Here in Australia, REMONDIS proudly provide full-service, end-to-end waste collection, treatment, resource recovery and management solutions right across the country.

A world without recycling is a world without a future. If you agree, consider joining REMONDIS.

Working for the future

‘Working for the future’ is REMONDIS's global mission. As this suggests, REMONDIS is a future-focused company with a strong sustainability agenda, which recruits many of its local future leaders and problem solvers via its Graduate Program.

Applications for REMONDIS Australia's third Graduate Program intake closed on 31 March 2023.

Seven opportunities were offered:

  • Finance – based in Sydney
  • Mergers & Acquisitions – based in Sydney
  • Engineering – based in Sydney
  • Operations – based in Perth or Sydney
  • Sales – based in Sydney
  • Industrial Services / Hazardous Waste – based in NSW or Melbourne

During the architected two years, selected Graduates will be parachuted into hands-on placements covering all corners of the company’s business and operations, giving participants varied exposure, diverse experiences and a breadth of knowledge.

Program participants will have a relevant formal education and some core abilities, including commercial awareness, problem solving and creativity. Self-awareness, resilience and emotional intelligence will grow from experience while acquiring teamwork and collaboration tools.

Graduates will be joining REMONDIS at a time of exciting transformation, growing from opportunities to take accountability. There will be formal learning and supercharged development, but participants won’t be in ‘training mode’. Rather, learning and growth will arise from being in a real-life setting, with exceptional mentors and a clear mission.

Every rotation came with a sense of surprise and anticipation. I could have a good guess at what was in store for me, but with a new team and sometimes even a new location, I was faced with new experiences and more opportunities to learn.
