Management at Northrop Grumman Australia

8.6
8.6 rating for Management, based on 5 reviews
How accessible are managers and do they make good mentors? You may want to address internal communication, performance feedback or praise and recognition.
Most of the managers I've interacted with have been really open, and willing to answer questions. Very rarely have I been made to feel like I'm not important, and they value being able to talk to you and get an honest opinion.
Over my 18 months, I have had 3 managers. Due to being assigned an inter-state manager on two seperate instances, it makes it incredibly difficult to communicate or assign work. In regards to being good mentors, I cannot confirm that I have had any form of mentorship, I myself have had to follow my own passions and simply request whether I can assign myself some time to learn. This has not been proactively been done by my manager. Internal communication, performance feedback or praise and recognition has often been infrequent due to the distance an inter-state connection encounters.
My manager is always available to discuss my performance and career progression. He has made himself easily available and easy to talk to. He acts as a great mentor and gives me lots of opportunity to be independent.
I feel very well supported by my direct manager and the managers within the People & Culture function. They are willing to share their knowledge and openly support my development.
