Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
I work mostly remotely, and the team that I work with never let me feel like I am alone. The Sydney team are very supportive of my work life, as well as my home life. They reach out to me often and we are steadily becoming great mates.

Team is full of cool people, but with some dissonance or disconnect between new and old employees, sometimes leading to conflict. This can be heightened by fieldwork settings. But the team is working towards a conscious solution and overcoming this. On the whole, full of really nice people who are passionate and driven.

Great support for all workers across the company. Our team is very social and I enjoy coming into the office on anchor days and being able to collaborate with everyone. We also catch up often after work for social events.

Overall, GHD has a good culture in the office and after hours. We have drinks after work a couple times a month so you can get to know your colleagues well. The structure and hierarchy is clear and works well most of the time. There is good cooperation and teamwork within teams and also between different teams.

Hours in the office are generally standard and flexible. Good balance of working from home and office. Field hours generally not the same. In my team projects are budgeted with limited field hours when it seems clear the work will take longer, this forces less experienced or less senior team members to work unpaid hours in the field. I would understand if this was occurring every now and then, but most fieldwork I have been put on has gone over 8 hours a day with only 8 hours in the budget.

The companys culture is good - everyone is welcoming and nice. The company does make you feel a part of the team. I think though there should be a bit of a check-up system for the new starters/grads. The structure of the company is not biased - even from the highest positions to the lowest everyone can still have a conversation together without feeling the gap. The teams do plan in-office and after-hours activities for the colleagues to bond and build report.

There is a friendly work culture, and generally socialisation occurs between the younger colleagues. After hour socials do not happen often.

Great after hours work culture. Some people in the team work extremely long hours (12+ hours per day) which can create pressure in the team, many people also work on weekends too

My team and the other team in my business group have a good culture. In the office we have good communication going and coffee runs. Outside of the office, there are after work drinks and other functions to attend. The company structure/hierachy makes little to no sense. Have resigned myself to never understanding it.

The culture is great and I feel very satisfied, however there is a culture to work longer days or work from home.

The culture within the team is close with all employees feeling relatively comfortable calling and taking to each other during office hours. Outside of the office, there are frequent external events for bonding. It can sometimes be hard with the hierachy structure to talk to colleagues more senior as they tend to be busier.

I know more people who work for a client than at GHD

The culture within the office is great and everyone I've spoken to within and beyond my team are friendly and helpful. GHD's culture in terms of the hierarchy feels quite egalitarian in that people in leadership / higher positions also feel approachable/relatable and treat everyone with respect regardless of experience level.

Generally cordial and welcoming environment. With some good opportunities for social activities outside of work hours
