From what I've gathered, there are good opportunities for promotions and career progression at DXC. People I've spoken to who have been with DXC for multiple years seem satisfied with their career progression.

DXC has a commitment to CSR, including assisting veterans, first nations' peoples, and those who suffer from mental disabilities. DXC runs the Dandelion program, which strives to provide jobs to those on the autism spectrum (as well as other disabilities), and I have helped with this program a bit since joining DXC.

Our company culture is characterized by a balanced and cooperative environment, both during office hours and after work. The structure and hierarchy promote an open and inclusive atmosphere, emphasizing teamwork. Colleagues work well together for the most part, and there's a notable level of support within teams from what I've experienced. Socializing after hours is also common.

I think there is good diversity at DXC, though I can't speak to child care, maternity leave, etc.

My roles and responsibilities vary from day to day. I usually run multiple projects concurrently, so a typical day involves project planning and coordination, meetings with the client and delivery teams, PMO work, etc. No day looks the same which keeps things interesting.

Most of the managers I have had during my time at DXC have been very good. They have been compassionate and intelligent people who are always willing to help and provide good advice. Internal communication has been approached well, and they are both regular meetings that help facilitate discussion as well as once-off meetings to discuss important and/or urgent things.

The company's office is in a nice location in a business district within Canberra, and so there are good facilities in the area, such as a variety of cafes and restaurants. The office itself is nice and clean and kitted out with a decent-sized kitchen which is good. The dress code is relatively relaxed, especially if you are not client-facing, and as long as one looks presentable then most styles go.

I only had one interview to complete, and it was a thorough interview with my current manager, however, I understand that people who applied for other roles had to complete various assessments.

At DXC, pay seems to be very average when compared to the market. As graduates, we are currently being paid quite averagely when compared to the market, however, this is due to increase next year which is good. From what I have seen, DXC does not offer money bonuses, however, we do have access to a system called DXC rewards, which is where we are rewarded with points and we can then redeem these for gift cards and other various items.

DXC has many training platforms that are available to be utilised, and we are encouraged to complete lots of training. For the project management graduates, we had a full spreadsheet of training courses to complete. I have picked up a few Excel skills, as well as a theoretical comprehension of some broader project management concepts.

Previously DXC adopted more of a 'virtual first' approach, where people were encouraged to come into the office, but it was not mandated. In previous weeks, they have mandated that employees return to the office at least 2 days per week.

From what I have observed, there are not too many efforts to reduce the environmental impact of DXC. A coffee machine has been installed to help reduce disposable cup usage. DXC also helps to organise donations of old technology, as opposed to throwing it out and contributing to waste.
