Your role

Their IT Team have an exciting opportunity for an IT Test Intern to perform regression testing and maintenance of the regression test suite. They encourage applications from early career IT professionals or students in their final year of studies in Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.

In this role:

  • Carefully execute software releases.
  • Manage test planning utilising internal software.
  • Conduct smoke testing, sanity testing and regression testing.
  • Determine test conditions/test objectives.
  • Gather and create test data, leading to the creation of comprehensive test cases.
  • Support the root cause analysis review to provide your insights from a testing perspective.
  • Prepare training materials and conduct end-user training on corporate testing tools.
  • Gain exposure and knowledge in various financial services processes.

About you

Qualifications & Experience 

  • An aptitude for IT software testing and a working knowledge of Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with, and ideally some experience with the following functions: test planning, test execution, regression testing, smoke testing, system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
  • ISTQB Foundation Certificate and/or ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst Certificate is highly desirable.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passionate about customer focus by understanding customer needs.
  • Proactive nature with the ability to take initiative and accountability for your work.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing demands.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
